Mangosteen

Mangosteen — the 'queen of fruits'. Crack the purple shell, eat the white segments inside.

Tropical, slightly tart, perfumed — unlike anything else. Press the shell gently with both thumbs to crack it open; the soft white segments inside are the prize. One kilo is roughly 8–12 fruit.
