Kesar Mango — dozen

A dozen Gir Kesar — saffron-fleshed, intensely sweet, the connoisseur's second-favourite mango.

Often called the queen to Alphonso's king. Slightly less expensive, equally beloved by people who cut their own mangoes carefully and eat them off the seed. In season May through July.
